So I went for a Sunday drive down Marine park to see who’s gonna chuck a fresh fish at me, as they do, to no avail, ka pai lol. Well as I was leaving I spied Monty over yonder painting another one of his Murals that adorn our town. I’m like awwe, I’ll go take a nosey, as the last time I had a natter to him was when he was painting the old Copper Kettle wall.
Well I so admired his work, got out of the car, stood back, watched him at work, amazing. Approached him, not disturbing his concentration, looking around at the whole picture, seriously….Ataahua. Then I said hiiiii, questions and answers blah blah blah, got to have another natter as though we’re chums from way back lol, but I know who he is. I did mention Charlie Kemp when I 1st had a natter to him. Well he took me around the whole wall and told me what each painting depicts, beautiful Anyways as he was near completing the last Mural he handed me the gun…there you go, you can finish it off.
I’m like, wide eyed cannnnn I, yearrhhhh
I spray painted for several years at Subaru I told him, all the while concentrating on what I was doing, I can tell he says.
